The needed background


Key Responsibilities 

  • Design and develop software as part of an agile team with short iterations and frequent releases; 
  • Contribute to planning and the subsequent development of applications;
  • Evolutionary approach on the owned systems. Ensure they are up to date with frequent upgrades and constant revaluation of possible better alternatives;
  • Scale, maintain and stabilize focused on performance and resilience, the several infrastructural environments;
  • Contribute to planning and development of our technological stack;

Key experience & qualifications 

  • IT Background;
  • Awareness and experience in using agile methodologies;
  • Java, development experience of a high concurrency/high transactional, multi-currency and multi time zone solutions;
  • Client server protocols and some familiarity with the TCP/IP network stack;
  • Familiarity with design patterns and to be able to understand and design systems around these concepts; 


Preferential qualifications 

Expertise on the following (preferably all) technologies 

  • Kafka;
  • Storm;
  • Cassandra;
  • Zookeeper;

Scripting languages

  • Python

Developing Languages

  • Scala;
  • Java;

  • Familiar with the usage of automatic alerting and real time series metric collection and analysis;
  • Familiar with the JVM and its monitoring and optimization usage activities;
  • Have good OS (Linux) knowledge to be able to troubleshoot virtualization/network problems;
  • Understand the RPM package management system to be able to create and maintain RPM binaries;
