As a Delivery Manager within the Cloud Automation department you will be responsible for one of six scrum teams across 4 countries building, supporting and maintaining a custom CI/CD framework. This framework is used by circa 800 developers across multiple locations , it supports thousands of immutable deployments a week and extends from our own , award winning OpenStack cloud to multiple public cloud deployments.
This role requires exceptional communication skills, as interaction and engagement with senior management will be a regular aspect of the role. This is a technical role but your success will not be measured on your technical input, but rather the impact of the team of engineers that you will lead.
Line management responsibilities for a scrum team, this will include training planning, budgetary planning, performance appraisals, keeping the team aware of the industry and organisational context , motivated and engaged.
Stakeholder management , the team works closely with the software development functions in Blip but also in other locations, as well as with sister teams in London , Dublin and Cluj. At times the team is fully occupied working on high priority / high visibility projects, whilst at others there is more time to service local demand and repay technical debt, balancing these demands and expectations is part of the role.
Working within a team. The Cloud Automation leadership team is split across all 4 locations, this team of peers / other Delivery Managers, Product Owner, Principal Engineer and Head of Department needs to work smoothly and efficiently to ensure the teams collaborate optimally.
